Film maker Subhash Ghai to receive IIFA Lifetime Achievement Award 2015

Talented director, producer and screenwriter of Bollywood, Subhash Ghai will be honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award at the coming IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) award ceremony in Kuala Lumpur next month.

Subhash Ghai had outstandingly contributed to Indian Cinema. The maker of most notable movies like Kalicharan, Karz, Hero, Meri Jung, Karma, Ram Lakhan, Pardes, Taal and Black & White, had infused the fresh talent in the Industry through his media institution Whistling Woods.

Andre Timmins -the spokesmen of IIFA said, “We have decided to give the special honour to Subhash Ghai. He is a great filmmaker and his contribution to Indian Cinema is immense. We have named the award as Outstanding Contribution to Indian Cinema instead of Lifetime Achievement because we present the hour to the living legends of Indian Cinema, who are yet to achieve many more milestones in their career.”

The Lifetime Achievement Award which is now named as Outstanding Contribution to Indian Cinema will be presented to him by Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff who were the leading actors of his superhit movie ‘Ram Lakhan’.

The IIFA Award Ceremony will start from 5th June.
